![]() Jackie Clune Additional Material Jackie Clune studied drama at Kent University before becoming a Karen Carpenter sound-a-like tribute act. After six years as an academic at London University she has since become well known as a singer, comedian, writer, radio broadcaster and actress, touring internationally with Puppetry of the Penis, and nationally as hostess of Singalonga Sound of Music. Her solo comedy cabaret shows (Chicks With Flicks, An Audience With Jackie Clune, Bitchin', It's Jackie!, Boy Crazy) have played annually at the Edinburgh Festival Assembly Theatre before transferring to London (Arts Theatre, Drill Hall, King's Head, Soho Theatre). Theatre: Credits include Taboo (The Venue); Julie Burchill Is Away for which she received a What's On Stage award nomination (Soho Theatre); A Wedding Story (Birmingham Repertory Theatre, Soho Theatre); Showstopper (Arts Theatre, Edinburgh Assembly Theatre); seven productions with Red Reg Theatre Company. She has contributed sketch material to the 11 O'Clock Show (Channel 4), Comedy Nation (BBC) and Smack the Pony for which she also provides the title sequence and vocals (Channel 4).
